  • About the Site

  • The (almost) Techy Bit

This site has been designed to work best on a resolution of 800x600, although it will scale up to 1024x768. It has been optimized for use on Internet Explorer v6, has been written in HTML and PHP and uses a MySQL database. It has been raw-coded (which means that I did all the work, not FrontPage or Dreamweaver), using TextPad, which is a jolly good text editor in my opinion.

Although mostly PHP and HTML, it does utilise CSS stylesheets and make use of JavaScript. Images used are all either .gif or .jpg. I have tried to make it as DDA compliant as I can in as much as I have refrained from moving and flickering objects.

The site is hosted by php-host, who have been really helpful, after the appalling service and service that we received from GN Hosting (previously Ghoulnet) - we will never use them again..

    The Other Bits

All photos used are ones that we have taken ourselves (using a Pentax Optio 550 Digital Camera or have been sent to us. Unless otherwise shown, they are considered to be public domain, so feel free to use any of them (or other images used on this site), but don't copyright them afterwards. If there are any images that you feel should not be on the site, then please write to us and we will remove them.

This is a non-profit making site.

Please feel free to link to us, use the logo in the top-left corner if you need an image. We will be happy to add a reciprocal link.
